Custom Japan Travel let me show you my Japan…

The Japan I know, planned just for you.

Flights, food that fits how you eat, where to stay, and how to move between it all — built by someone who was born and raised here.

planned from the inside

Japan rewards people who know it.

Most trips are booked from the outside — a list of famous stops, a rushed route, and a lot of guessing about food and trains once you land.

I plan it from the inside. I grew up in Japan and I know how it actually moves: which neighbourhood to stay in, how to get city to city without stress, and where you'll genuinely want to eat. You tell me who's coming and what you love. I build the rest around you.

What I plan

The whole trip, or just the hard parts.

Flights and the smartest route through the country. The right neighbourhood to stay in. Rail passes and directions you can actually follow. Airport transfers, a SIM, a guide when you want one, and day trips worth the detour.

Food, your way

You'll never wonder where to eat.

This is where most trips quietly go wrong — travellers with dietary needs eating the same safe thing all week. Tell me how you eat and I plan around it: the right Japanese places, and wherever else you need to eat well.

Things to do

The Japan you came for — and the one you didn't know to ask for.

Temples and theme parks, autumn maples and spring blossoms, markets, onsen, the neon and the quiet corners — matched to your interests and to whoever's travelling with you.

a few places I still think about

Real places. Real evenings.

Not a list of landmarks — the meals, lanes and moments that make people fall for Japan. Yours will be different, and it'll be yours.

Why me

Not a booking site. Someone who lived it.

I'm Raju. I was born in Tokyo and spent my formative years there — school, daily life, and later, work. My roots are in India, and today I split my time between the US, Japan and India.

That mix is the point. I know what trips up first-time visitors because I've watched it happen, and I know Japan well enough to plan a trip that feels effortless — whether you're solo, with your partner, bringing the whole family, coming as a group of friends, on a company visit, or anything in between. When you fill out the form, a real person reads it. Me.

How it works

Three steps to your trip.

01

Tell me about your trip

Fill out the form — who's coming, when, your budget, how you eat, and what you'd love to do.

02

I build your plan

A custom itinerary — route, stays, food and the day-to-day — adjusted with you until it's right.

03

You travel

You'll get a secure payment link and everything you need. Then you enjoy Japan while I handle the hard part.

Let's plan a trip you'll actually remember.

It starts with one form. Tell me about your trip and I'll take it from there.
